We are currently searching for a hands-on Senior Lead Test Automation to join our high-performing product and fulfillment center of excellence in Pune, India. You will contribute to implementing new product features and rapidly on-boarding new enterprise customers.  The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong technical skills and meticulous attention to detail.  This person will be intellectually curious with relentless desire to learn the latest modern data architecture platforms and patterns.   

WHAT YOU’LL DO:   

• Define, design, and build comprehensive automated regression testing frameworks to validate the integration of open-source components within the NX1 platform. 

• Work with the Platform Engineering application team to document and implement test cases to validate new releases and verify ongoing operations. 

• Understand the key requirements and break them down into use cases, provide accurate estimates on the work items, and effectively communicate any bottlenecks on time 

• Regression test after minor/major upgrades of components and write sample test scripts to check software version compatibility for applications in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. 

• Build/Maintain compatibility/support matrix across all NX1 platform entitlements/versions (Ex. Airflow, Spark, Nifi, Kafka, Datahub, etc.)  

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for test cases and set standards and best practices for the testing team, to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing by writing secure, reliable, testable & readable code 

• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, solution architects, and DevOps, to design and develop test cases for scalable data solutions. 

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve the Data platform and drive innovation. 

WHO YOU ARE: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading test teams in large-scale Cloud Data platforms 

• Proficiency in tools and scripting languages like Selenium, Postman, Cucumber, Python, Java or any open-source tools and related automation onto CI/CD pipelines. 

• Demonstrated breadth of experience in developing automation and integration testing for opensource technologies. 

• Exposure to on-premises and cloud Data architectures, implementing best practices and methodologies for system testing and software quality assurance. 

• Hands-on experience writing test cases and execution for open-Source data technologies, running on Kubernetes including Impala, Iceberg, Spark, Airflow, Nifi, Jupyter Notebooks, Cloudera, Databricks, Kubeflow, MLFlow and Kafka. 

• Experience in writing test scripts across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), leveraging cloud-native tools and open source for optimal performance. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate ideas and provide clear instructions. 

• Excellent troubleshooting skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues efficiently. 

• Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. 

• Hand on experience writing synthetic API/Browser testing scripts for applications and monitor in Datadog to alert operations team.
