Solar PV Installer

The Solar Installer will be responsible for assembling and installing solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to roofs, or other structures, in compliance with the final site assessments and design. This person will be part of a team that will work with a licensed Electrician 

Roles & Responsibilities

Able to read drawings and apply code requirements, as appropriate. Identify safety hazards, proper orientation, module layout, solar access and structural integrity. Examine designs to determine current requirements; Identify and resolve any deficiencies in system installation or materials. Maintain thorough documentation of system installation including photographs, location diagrams for arrays and equipment, and existing site features. Submit all documentation in a timely manner for go live

Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or GED. An associate's degree or certificate from a trade school or equivalent experience with the installation of solar modules to code and specifications. 1-2 years of mechanical, trade, electrical, training or experience with common hardware tools and tape measurements is preferred. Good mechanical skill set, such as: working with hands, tools, climbing, good sense of balance, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc. Work safely on roofs for extended periods of time; ascend and descend ladders. Regularly lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs. Ability to control fear of heights and be a teammate. We are looking to hire in Delaware, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. The ability to travel would be helpful as a growing company willingness to learn the work installing the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs, structures to code willingness to train the right person in this Career.
