Configuration Management Database Lead for Hosting, Operations and Maintenance (HOM) services for HIGLAS. This effort includes developing and maintaining a secure and certified architecture to support e-Government initiatives; minimize the CMS security risk and enhance the protection of privacy and security of data, and improve the CMS’ ability to accommodate the growing workload.
Job Responsibilities ad Duties:
Plan and Implement control processes, configuration model standards and data management practices to support ITSM initiatives throughout CI lifecycle.
Manage the schedule, risk, issues and mitigations for the implementation of the CMDB
Refine the configuration of the CI’s and scripts to continually improve CMDB quality, usability, and sustainability
Provide Governance, design and standards for discovering infrastructure CI’s and Help ensure the consistent and accurate capture of data and relationships
Develop and publish reports leveraging the CMDB to enable clients to utilize Configuration data to support IT Service Management (ITSM)
Produce Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with an operational and management focus.
Collaborate with groups within the program and the client to ensure requirements are met and ensure CMDB integrity.
Plan, schedule and assist in audits on the CMDB validation with the IT infrastructure.
Provide documentation and reporting to internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance of in scope solutions for devices and applications where CI’s are being administered across the ServiceNow platform.
Support the approach to build a comprehensive CMDB, including application/tool configurations, code, and infrastructure components such as servers and operating systems.
Lead the implementation of the CMDB, including regular status updates to stakeholders, and refinement of the approach based on lessons learned.
Lead the definition of configuration items (CIs), their control attributes, and data collection of the attributes.
Coordinate CMDB efforts across immediate team and broader technical, functional, and hosting teams.
As CMDB SME, train our team and stakeholders on CMDB principles and implementation methods.
Create and Manage the Standard Operating Procedures for the all areas of the CMDB
Required Qualifications and Skills:
BS and nine years experience or a MS and seven years experience or the equivalent combination of experience and educate.
Experience with implementing a CMDB.
Subject matter expertise in the management of Discovery, Discovery Scheduling, Configuration Items and reporting in ServiceNow.
ServiceNow Configuration Management, Application Portfolio Management and Discovery.
ITIL V3 Foundation
